About NCPTIC
B4 | Building Businesses Beyond Borders
The Nigeria-Canada Partnerships, Trade, and Investment Conference (NCPTIC 2025) is a landmark initiative by the Nigerian and Canadian Business Network (NCBN), a bilateral organization dedicated to strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and Canada. Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy and a hub for natural resources, innovation, and a youthful workforce, seeks to diversify its partnerships. Canada, a global leader in sectors like clean energy, agribusiness, technology, and education, offers complementary expertise. The conference builds on decades of diplomatic and trade relations, including Nigeria’s role as Canada’s second-largest trading partner in Sub-Saharan Africa, with bilateral trade exceeding CAD 2.5 billion annually.
History While NCPTIC 2025 marks the inaugural edition of this flagship conference, it follows years of smaller-scale trade missions, business forums, and policy dialogues facilitated by NCBN. Previous collaborations include the 2021 Canada-Nigeria Energy Summit and the 2023 AgriTech Exchange Program. These efforts laid the groundwork for a larger, structured platform to address evolving economic priorities, such as post-pandemic recovery and sustainable development.
